Buddha statue at Wat Pho in Bangkok, Thailand

This is a Buddha statue at Wat Pho in Bangkok. People come here to pray and every time they do so they stick a little piece of golden paper to the statue. I don't know the exact reason behind this, everyone I asked just told me it was tradition, but that is why the representation looks as if its covered with golden foil and has that flaky look.

Ayutthaya, Thailand

The tree has grown round the head of this Buddha in the ruins of the city of Ayutthaya, former capital of Thailand. It's one of the famous viewings in this ancient city dominated by her ruins.

This headless Buddha is part of what remains of these ruins after many years of neglet and a fire that also took place here. The ruins around here a magnificent and you can really imagine during its glory days as being a great place. 

Market in Bangkok, Thailand

Markets in Thailand are remarkable. It's difficult to get pictures because there's always people around but I finally managed. This was a market in the north of Bangkok where tourists don't usually go. You could find the usual in this market, nothing extravagant because it was a local market. You can find the crazy stuff at the Si Lom night market, where you can find any type of sextoy, tasers and that kind of items.
